About the LawConnect supermaxi
Sponsored by LEAP, the LawConnect 100ft supermaxi is aiming to improve on last year's second-place finish in this year's Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.
Led by LEAP founder Christian Beck (LawConnect supermaxi's owner and skipper), the professional crew of 17 will be joined by four staff members from The LEAP Group who will be racing for the first time ever. Most of the crew, including boat captain Ty Oxley and veterans Tony Mutter and Chris Nicholson, have raced together on this supermaxi on numerous occasions over the last five years. There is great excitement in the LawConnect camp for this year's race as they attempt to take out line honours.
Building on the success of last year's inaugural livestream, LawConnect will continue to be the only boat, from a 113-strong fleet, to provide live footage of the race thanks to its investment in ground-breaking technology. As a result, spectators from anywhere in the world can watch the race in real-time from this page.
