Sarah Carstens, a Partner at the firm, brings with her over 15 years of comprehensive legal experience in both in-house and private practice roles. Her extensive expertise encompasses managing and leading diverse commercial legal matters, including negotiating significant agreements, resolving disputes, and providing general advisory services. Sarah is adept at managing company risk, advising boards of directors, and implementing governance and legal risk management initiatives. Her proficiency in regulatory compliance and managing regulatory relationships is well-recognised. In addition to her legal acumen, Sarah holds a postgraduate diploma in governance and risk management and is a chartered company secretary with the Governance Institute of Australia. Her previous roles have seen her oversee major regulatory reform projects, such as anti-money laundering and financial licensing regimes in New Zealand, as well as the development and management of an enterprise risk management programme. Sarah is admitted to practise as a lawyer in both New South Wales and New Zealand. Before joining Inside Eagles, she served as the General Counsel and Company Secretary for Fisher & Paykel Finance, and as a senior corporate lawyer at ANZ Bank. Her experience also includes working within the finance teams of prominent law firms such as Linklaters in London and Minter Ellison in New Zealand.
